How Gameplan reimagined athlete rehab in six weeks

When elite sports teams rely on spreadsheets to manage rehab, communication breaks down and recovery slows. We worked with Gameplan to design and build a collaborative platform that connects clinicians, coaches and athletes - turning weeks of manual coordination into minutes.

How Gameplan reimagined athlete rehab in six weeks

Elite sports teams were relying on spreadsheets, PDFs, and disconnected tools to manage athlete rehabilitation — making it difficult for medical and coaching staff to stay aligned. Recovery plans were inconsistent, progress was hard to track, and return-to-play decisions often lacked visibility.

Gameplan set out to change that.

Working closely with clinicians and performance leads, we designed a shared rehab platform that mirrors real-world workflows used across professional sport. The goal was simple: make collaboration effortless, standardise recovery, and give teams a single view of each athlete’s journey.

Introducing Gameplan

From idea to MVP in six weeks

We partnered with the founders to design and build a secure, compliant MVP using Lovable, a hosted low-code stack. The build included:

  • Injury tracking and rehab phases
  • Shared calendars and clinician workflows
  • Baseline compliance and audit features
Athlete management

By using Lovable, we were able to move from concept to a working product in just six weeks, skipping DevOps overhead and focusing on delivering value fast.

A platform designed for collaboration

Clinicians can now assign, track, and update rehab phases in real time, with shared views across medical, strength & conditioning, and coaching teams. The result is better communication, faster recovery insights, and less time lost to admin.

The outcome

With a working MVP in hand, Gameplan can now confidently demo to elite teams worldwide - helping them secure their first customers and scale the platform into new markets.

It’s a strong foundation for the next phase of their journey: expanding features, integrating data sources, and supporting more teams through a single, shared rehab platform.
