A summer pause, a surge of possibilities - #12
A summer reset in France gave me space to reflect - on building products, making decisions, and why August is unexpectedly full of new opportunities.

Quite the opposite vibe this week - I've been on holiday.
We’ve settled into a formula that has worked for years. Drive to France, not fly. Find a good Airbnb in a small village near the Med. Cook simply (BBQs, salads, the usual). Explore the local area.
It’s a rhythm that gives us both relaxation and quality family time, and this maybe the last summer like this, before the teenagers start to want to do their own thing with friends.
Even with the forced downtime, I can’t help tinkering. I’ve been making small edits to a product I’m building and prepping for my first Build Loop later this month.
Our summer break has always been my reset button. A space to reflect on bigger questions and evaluate. Are we moving fast enough? Is there a better way to make decisions? What do I need to do next?
Strangely, this August has brought in a wave of opportunities. So this year, there’s no out-of-office and this week, there's a new issue!
